The Caucasus region is considered a hotspot of biodiversity. Although information about the fauna of chilopoda, swimming crabs from Transcaucasia is extensive, records are scattered in various old publications. The first information about some invertebrates in Azerbaijan was published by Kessler (1874), who described a new scolopendromorph species - Scolopendra aralocaspia from several places in Central Asia and the Caucasus .
Thanks to the research conducted in this field, it will allow to expand the volume of aquaculture production in the future.
